XIA Configuration allows the documentation of Exchange 2000, 2003 and 2007. In this screenshot an example Exchange 2007 installation is shown.

XIA Configuration Server allows you to compare any two items of the same type, or in this example two versions of the same item, for changes. Notice in this example there is a change to the public SNMP community, the Windows Installer Service and the CPU clock speed.

XIA Configuration Server allows in-depth configuration through the user interface. In this screenshot a Hardware Definition is being configured for a Hewlett Packard DL360 Server. Any Item that is detected with this Manufacturer and Model will automatically show this information to the user.

XIA Configuration Server allows you to automatically detected and document Microsoft MSCS Clusters (also known as Failover Clustering) including Resource Groups, Resources, Cluster Nodes and Networks.

XIA Configuration Server allows you to automatically detect and document SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 Instances including their Configuration and Databases. XIA Configuration Server allows you to securely store passwords for User Accounts, Service Accounts, SNMP Communities etc by encrypting the data using 2048 bit encryption. Users must view an individual password at a time and each password view is audited.




XIA Configuration Server allows you to document Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008 Active Directory Domains including Sites and Services, Domain Role Holders and Group Policy Objects. XIA Configuration Server allows you access to many ready made reports to help you represent your IT Infrastructure. You can also Customise these Reports or create your own.




XIA Configuration Server allows you to create an organisational structure that suits your requirements, this can be used to both organise your items and apply Security. Within XIA Configuration you can create Locations, Rooms and Racks into which other Items be placed. To move a selection of Windows Servers to a rack simply select the Servers, and browse for the Rack into which you wish to locate the Items.




All Items within XIA Configuration store common information such as Primary Contact, Security, Checkout information as well as Details field for any other relevant information. Information collected on Windows Machines that are detected by XIA Configuration including software configuration - in this example, the Windows Services that are configured on a Windows Vista Workstation.
