Creating your first automation profile

Once the installation has been completed, you are ready to create your automation profile.

Start the XIA Automation Administration Tools by double clicking the desktop icon

Go to automation profiles and click the new automation profile button.
Enter a display name and description and click OK.
Go to the variable definitions section of the automation profile.
Right click the listview and select New Variable Definition > Standard Variable Definitions > String Variable Definition.
Enter the name, display name, and description for the variable definition.
Go to the automation tasks section of the automation profile.
Right click the listview and select New Automation Task > Filesystem > Directory Creation Task.
Enter the display name and description for the directory creation task.
On the directory tab enter a valid directory path on the computer running XIA Automation Server including the [DirectoryName] variable definition for example D:\Test\[DirectoryName] and click OK.

Click Save Configuration in the toolbar or file menu.
In the user interface of the XIA Automation Server select the newly created automation profile.
