Indexes are generated for each item to provide fast, reliable identifiers used to accelerate functionality such as search and relationship detection.



Type

The type of index - for example "Canonical Name" or "Serial Number".


Component Type

The optional component type - foe example "Network Adapter".


Component Display Name

The optional component display name - for example the network adapter name to which an IP address is assigned.


Value

The index value.


Update Item Indexes

Clicking the Update Item Indexes button updates the indexes for the item. You must have Write permissions for the item to perform this action.
