Symptoms

When you scan a Windows machine you may notice that certificates are detected that are not visible in the certificates MMC.


Cause

This can be caused by archived certificates.


More Information

By default archived certificates are not visible in the certificates MMC, however are detected by the XIA Configuration Client. 


To view archived certificates in the certificates MMC:


  • Open the certificates MMC.

  • Select View > Options from the drop down menu.

  • Check the "Archived certificates" option.




Resolution

This behaviour is by design.
