XIA Links Administrator's Guide

The shortcut processor runs on the client and processes the shortcuts configured by system administrators.

The shortcut processor provides the following functionality:

• Determines whether a shortcut is available to the user.
  
  
• Locates the path to a file or application shortcut when multiple possible paths have been configured.
  
  
• Determines the appropriate icon to display for a shortcut.
  
  
• Determines whether the repair function of a file or application shortcut is enabled and available.

System administrators can configure the shortcut processor in the shortcut processor tab in the client settings.
