XIA Configuration

Windows Failover Cluster Documentation Tool

Automated documentation software to help you keep track of your failover cluster configuration

Use our failover cluster documentation tool XIA Configuration to automatically document your Windows failover cluster configuration.

With support for quorum settings, cluster nodes, networks, cluster roles, resource settings and more.

Within each resource, XIA Configuration is able to display all public and private settings. For example, an IP Address resource would display the IP Address, Subnet Mask, NetBIOS settings as well as the resources owner and restart information.

A failover cluster is a group of independent computers that work together to increase the availability of applications and services. If one of the clustered servers (nodes) fails, another node begins to provide the service (a process known as failover). Users experience a minimum of disruption to the service.

Roles (also known as resource groups) are a collection of one or more resources that are managed and monitored as a single unit. A role can be started, stopped and failed over between cluster nodes independently of roles.
